DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wished you knew more about which native plants attract pollinators and birds in our area\; which will grow best in your yard\; or how to keep them healthy year-to-year? How many times have friends\, family\, or members of your organization asked you these same questions thinking you have all the answers? Here is a way learn more about adding native wildflowers\, trees and shrubs to your landscapes   and teach others how they can too! Blue Thumb\, Metro Blooms\, and Birds\, Bees\, and Butterflies   Bemidji invite you to come to a "Lawns to Legumes Train the Trainer Workshop" on Thursday\, January 23rd. Instructors will show you how to plan\, plant\, and maintain prairie pockets\, flowering trees and shrubs\, pollinator lawns\, and pollinator meadows   as well as what funding options and additional resources are available. The workshop will help whether you know a lot about native plants or just a little\, and equip you to be a valuable resource to others in your organization and community. A follow-up workshop for in the Bemidji area residents is being planned for early February. There is even an opportunity to get up to $350 for plants and materials to do this in your own yard. The application is easy and you will learn about it in the workshop. Come join us on January 23rd and help make Bemidji a pollinator-friendly community.
