Sathre\, Francis Spinner Arnold\, Elizabeth Ridenour Arnold\, Andrew Aubolee\, Earle A. Barker\, and Donna Lycan have in common? All six lived in the Bemidji area in the 1920s.  All were significant individuals in the community.  And all six are 2019 History Mystery "suspects."\n\nThe Beltrami County Historical Society announces its 6th Annual History Mystery event\, an entertaining and educational event on New Year's Eve   Tuesday\, December 31\, 2019   at the Beltrami County History Center (formerly the Great Northern Depot at 130 Minnesota Avenue South in Bemidji). \n\nTickets are $20/person and are available at the History Center.  Call 218-444-3376\, stop by during open hours (W-Sat\, noon to 4:00)\, or email depot@beltramihistory.org to reserve or purchase tickets. Children 12 and under are free if accompanied by a paid adult.  Advanced sale tickets are available now.  We cannot guarantee that any tickets will be available at the door\, as this event traditionally sells out. Only 75 tickets are available. Attendees are encouraged to dress for the decade of the 1920s. \n\nThe event begins with social time\, snacks\, and beverages from 4:00-4:30 with the "living Clue game" starting at 4:30 P.M.  The game is a "who-done-it" with a fictitious murder at the depot and six "suspects" from Beltrami County History.  The "suspects\," portrayed by local actors\, will share information about their lives.  Then attendees will attempt to solve the crime to determine who did it\, where was the murder committed\, and what was the murder weapon.  Prizes will be awarded for first\, second\, and third prize and for best costumes.  \n\nProceeds from the event help to keep Beltrami County history alive through BCHS publications\, programs\, collections\, research opportunities and assistance\, and our museum exhibits. \n\nSponsors for the event include Kraus-Anderson\, Paul Bunyan Communications\, McKenzie Place\, Keith's Pizza\, Cease Funeral Home\, and more.
