DESCRIPTION:Watermark Art Center announces upcoming classes for adults\, children\n\nOn March 29-30\, learn how to make felted stones with instructor Lisa Jordan. Felted stones make unique and natural fiber art objects that have a pleasing weight in the hand. Creating them is often a meditative process. In the first session\, held March 29 from 5 - 7 p.m.\, attendees will learn to wet-felt soft wool around a stone to make a seamless felted surface on which to stitch. Each person will make 2-3 felted stones of their own. Stones will be provided\, but attendees are encouraged to bring a special rounded stone of their own if they would like (no bigger than palm size). In the second session\, held March 30 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.\, attendees will learn some tricks to stitching on this non-traditional surface. Some basic knowledge of embroidery stitches is helpful but not required. You must attend both days. Minimum age is 12.
