This year is a budget year at the Minnesota State Capitol so now is the time to understand how the state budget works. In the session, you’ll learn about what the state’s latest economic forecast means for state tax and budget decisions, how state funding is raised and spent, and how you can be part of setting the state’s budget priorities. Participants will gain an understanding of the state’s current budget situation, key budget decision points, and practice how to read budget documents. Whether you have little knowledge of the budget process or need a refresher, this training is perfect for those who want to understand the state budget.
